Vfdb Excellence Award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The vfdb Excellence Award is an award from the Association for the Promotion of German Fire Protection for people who have achieved a special achievement in the field of non-police hazard prevention. The special service should relate to scientific or technical research and development work in non-police security. The prize can be endowed with prize money of up to 10,000 euros.

The prize was first awarded at the INTERSCHUTZ trade fair in 2005 and may only be awarded once a year at a suitable vfdb event. As a rule, these are the opening events of the annual vfdb annual conferences that take place at different locations. A selection committee with representatives from research, industry, the insurance industry and the fire service decides on the award on behalf of the presidium of the vfdb.
