Via Albula / Bernina

The Via Albula / Bernina is a cultural and industrial historical hiking trail in the canton of Graubünden that was opened in 2010 and follows the route of the Albula and Bernina Railway , which has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2008 .

The route is divided into 10 stages, the first of which begins in Thusis in Domleschg and the last of which ends in Tirano in Veltlin . The path stretches over 131 km and leads over 4600 meters uphill and 5000 meters downhill.

The route is led under the signaling number 33.

The route is maintained equally by the Canton of Graubünden and the Rhaetian Railway .
