Via del Babuino

The Via del Babuino is a street in the historic center of Rome , by the Piazza del Popolo runs out. The Via del Babuino is part of the Tridente , a three-axle street fan , which also includes Via di Ripetta and Via del Corso .

In 1525 Via Paolina was laid out as the last of the three streets of the Tridente , which today leads as Via del Babuino to Piazza di Spagna with the Spanish Steps and on to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore . The street was named after the fountain figure of Babuino .
