Vicente Nola

Vicente Nola (born February 20, 1926 ), also called Tinola , was a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

The midfielder Tinola wore the jersey of AA Francana from the Brazilian state of São Paulo until he was signed by the French first division club AS Saint-Étienne in the summer of 1951 . He made his professional debut in the top division of France on September 9, 1951, when he was called up in a 2-1 win against FC Sète . This made him the first Brazilian ever to play for Saint-Étienne. On September 16, he scored his first goal against Olympique Marseille . In the following time he fought for a regular place, which he lost again in the 1952/53 season. 1953 ended his contract and at the same time after 31 first division games and seven goals in France his career as a professional.
