Victor Chinedu Anichebe (born April 23, 1988 in Lagos ) is a Nigerian football player . His family moved to England when he was one year old.

Career

Anichebe is described as a fast and powerful player.

The striker has played for Everton FC since 2004 and comes from the club's youth academy. In the 2005/06 season he came to his first appearance in the Premier League and finished eleventh with Everton. After playing for West Bromwich Albion , he has played for Sunderland AFC since September 2016.

In August 2006 he was called up to the England U-19 national team, but since he wanted to play for Nigeria, he turned it down. He was then appointed to the Nigerian U-20 national team in September.
