Victory Base Complex
The Victory Base Complex ( VBC for short ) is a military base in Iraq at Baghdad Airport .

history
It housed the headquarters of the United States Armed Forces during the occupation of Iraq from 2003 to 2011 . Sometimes more than 100,000 people lived on the site. For this purpose there was the complete infrastructure of a small town such as apartment buildings, supermarkets and fast food restaurants in the base.
The secret cell of the former dictator Saddam Hussein was also located on the premises .
The complex was handed over to the Iraqi government on December 2, 2011.
