Financial Market Promotion Act

The Financial Market Promotion Acts are amendment laws passed by the German Bundestag that have affected various financial regulations since 1990 . The federal government tried to establish Germany as an attractive financial center and to improve the protection of investors.

First Financial Market Promotion Act

The first “Financial Market Promotion Act” of February 22, 1990 ( Federal Law Gazette I p. 266 ) bears the official long title “Law to improve the framework conditions of the financial markets” and changed regulations on investment companies and foreign investment units from March 1, 1990 .
