Vietnam Air Services Company ( VASCO for short ) is a Vietnamese regional airline based in Ho Chi Minh City and based at Tan Son Nhat Airport . It is a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines , which has served smaller destinations within Vietnam for many years (e.g. the island of Con Dao). In 2016 the airline was re-branded and entered the domestic Vietnamese low-cost flight market as SkyViet. In June 2017, shareholders who hold 49 percent of the airline applied for the airline to be dissolved.
