Vieträh

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Viehträh was the field name of today's Kiefernstraße in Reiterswiesen , a district of the Bavarian spa town Bad Kissingen . The name originated in the early Middle Ages.

origin

Viehträh is most likely derived from cattle drive ⇒ cattle + drive off. This field name was named because of the cattle drive to the pasture areas. The official name was never Viehträh, but this name is still in everyday use by the locals.
