The Vigil Spur (English for Watchsporn ) is a mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Anare Mountains, it flanks the Ebbe Glacier and forms the southwestern extension of Mount Bolt .
The northern group of a campaign carried out by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition from 1963 to 1964 named it that because they had to stay here for a long time because of a blizzard .
