Vignette evidence
The vignette evidence is a freely searchable database in which all vehicle registration numbers (including the respective country of registration and, if applicable, the associated vehicle type) are entered for which a valid Austrian digital vignette or a valid Austrian digital route toll exists. In terms of vehicle type, a distinction is made between car and motorcycle , and only with the digital vignette. Other vehicle data - such as B. manufacturer , model, vehicle identification number or vehicle owner - are not stored in the vignette record. A customer account can be set up on a voluntary basis in the course of the ordering process in the ASFINAG webshop, then additional data is saved. Only then can additional services be used, e.g. B. it is then possible to subsequently change the license plate number.
The vignette evidence is kept by the Autobahn and Schnellstraßen-Finanz-Aktiengesellschaft (ASFINAG).
By entering a vehicle registration number and the associated country of registration, anyone can query online free of charge whether a valid digital vignette or a valid digital route toll has been deposited for the vehicle in question and for which periods they may apply. With the digital route toll, you also receive information about which ticket was purchased for which toll route. A maximum of three queries per day are possible via an IP address; this is particularly intended to prevent misuse through mass or automated queries.
