The cemetery north of the village near the state road L 230 to Seesbach , below the "Habichtkopf" hill, was probably created around 1700 and closed in 1878. Burials have been documented for the period from 1864 to 1878. From 1930 to 1955, the community of Simmertal used the cemetery property, which cannot be clearly seen from the road, partly as a plant garden or as a tree nursery .

About 25 tombstones from the 19th century have been preserved in the cemetery . According to other information, there are still eight remains of tombstones and plinths scattered around the site within a radius of about 100 meters or even only five fragments remain.
