Jewish cemetery (Schweppenhausen)

The Jewish cemetery Schweppenhausen is a cemetery in the local community Schweppenhausen in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The Jewish cemetery is outside the map, about a kilometer south of the center of the country road L 242 above the sports field on the Kalleberg. It can be reached on foot from the sports field via steep forest paths.

In the 1175 m² cemetery, which was probably laid out in the first half of the 19th century and occupied until 1926, there are 35 tombstones . The oldest still legible tombstone dates from 1869, the last burial took place in 1926. During the Nazi era , the cemetery was devastated and some of the tombstones stolen. After 1945 the cemetery was restored.
