Old Jewish cemetery in Hochstätten

The old Jewish cemetery in Hochstätten , a local community in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate , was laid out at the beginning of the 19th century. The Jewish cemetery is located west of the village in the forest in the area Am Judenkirchhof . It is a protected cultural monument .

The cemetery was expanded several times in the 19th century. It was fully occupied by 1900, which is why the New Jewish Cemetery was laid out in 1912 .

Only 19 gravestones that can be dated between 1873 and 1924 have survived in the 740 m² cemetery .
