The Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA) is a non-university research institute that operates worldwide. It was founded in 2004 by Webster University Vienna , then a fully accredited private university. The aim of the institute is to create and exchange knowledge on the subject of mergers & acquisitions and strategic alliances . In 2007 the institute was organized as a spin-out and association with its headquarters in Zurich , Switzerland , with branches in Vienna , Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City . The institute remains connected to various universities and professors and acts as a think tank on the subject of M&A in the sense of a non-profit organization .

Knowledge creation and training

The institute has created a "Body of Knowledge for Mergers & Acquisitions " which forms the basis for some training programs and teaching content. In addition to long-term support for students at Bachelor and Master’s level, it has been offering continuing education programs for people working in this area since 2007, which can be completed with the certificate "International Mergers & Acquisitions (IM&A)", which covers the areas of strategy , due Includes diligence , business valuation and post merger integration . Memberships

Charter holder

Individuals who hold the IM&A certificate become so-called "IM&A charterholders". The necessary prerequisites are the successful completion of the courses and exams, two years of relevant professional experience and other requirements and can use the abbreviation IM&A after your name.
