Christopher Kummer (born March 18, 1975 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German economist , university professor and management consultant .

Life and work

After graduating from the Engelberg Abbey School in 1995, Kummer studied economics at the University of St. Gallen with a diploma thesis with Georg von Krogh in 1999. He then received his doctorate in 2005 from the Technical University of Berlin with Ulrich Steger with a dissertation on mergers & Acquisitions .

From 2004 to 2014 Kummer was a professor at Webster University Vienna , where he founded the Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA) and initiated the cooperation with Michael E. Porter . As a management consultant, he headed the HR Transaction Services division at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Zurich from 2007 to 2009 . Since 2012 he has been Professor of Finance at Hult International Business School .
