history

The Hult Ashridge Executive Education program, located at Ashridge House, is in the top 10 best UK programs.

Arthur D. Little , the world's oldest management consultancy, founded the Arthur D. Little School of Management (which later became Hult Business School) in 1964, a fully recognized, nonprofit business school . The school was based on the MIT Sloan School of Management . In 1976 the school was accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

In 1996 the Arthur D. Little School of Management partnered with the Carroll School of Management at Boston College to gain access to the college's facilities. The following year, Arthur D. Little School of Management became an independent, not-for-profit organization, of which Arthur D. Little Inc. was the sole shareholder .

The Arthur D. Little School of Management was considered the only example of a recognized, nonprofit business school owned by a company. Many of the teaching professors have been full-time professors at Harvard Business School , MIT Sloan , Northeastern , Babson, and Boston College .

This association resulted in an effective educational program that got top spots in The Economist's MBA rankings (1st place in international experience and 1st place in post graduate salary increase).

After the owner ADL had to file for bankruptcy in 2002 and became the property of Altran , Arthur D. Little School of Management became Hult International Business School, following the restructuring of its parent consulting firm. In the course of its restructuring, the Hult International Business School introduced a new, internationally oriented curriculum. This led to the establishment of Hult's global offices in London (2007), Dubai (2008), San Francisco (2010) and Shanghai (2011).

In 2007, Hulton University in London, a private American university in the London borough of Bloomsbury, was acquired and later re-established as the London campus of the Hult International Business School.

In 2014 the Hult International Business School merged with the Ashridge Business School . After 2015, the establishment of Ashridge Executive Education, Hult's program for executives and managers, began on the Ashridge Estate campus.
