history

The Ashridge Business School traces its origins back in a broader sense to the Bonhommes Convent School in Ashridge near Berkhamsted , Hertfordshire , founded in 1283 . The Ashridge Business School itself was established in 1959 with support from the company Shell , Unilever and Guinness founded in a castle-like building from the 19th century, located in a large park.

The Ashridge Business School offers open and company-specific study programs, including training programs for managers. The classes consist of 25 to 40 participants; Students with at least five years of professional experience are admitted.

The university is accredited according to EQUIS , AACSB and AMBA . Ashridge has a global alumni network of around 4,000 members.

The Ashridge Business School has about 400 employees, including 100 professors and lecturers, of which around 30 per cent from abroad. The German-Canadian Kai Peters has been President since 2003. Well-known professors are Andrew Campbell and Michael Goold from the "Ashridge Strategic Management Center London" as well as George Binney, Gerhard Wilke and Colin Williams.

The affiliated Ashridge Management College offers an MBA course as "European Partnership MBA". The university is also affiliated with the Ashridge Center for Business and Society, Ashridge Strategic Management Center and Ashridge Leadership Center.

The main building of the castle ambience in Ashridge was the template for films such as The Dirty Dozen and Harry Potter .
