The University of the West of England (German: University of West England ) emerged in 1992 from the former technical college of the Bristol Polytechnic in Bristol. In the north of Bristol Situated University (7 km from the center) is one of the most popular universities in the UK and consists of 30,000 students and 3,000 employees. 9 faculties are spread over a total of four locations and offer more than 600 courses for undergraduate , postgraduate and professionals. The short name of the university is Bristol UWE.
