Jewish cemetery (Bad Sobernheim)

The Bad Sobernheim Jewish Cemetery is a cemetery in the town of Bad Sobernheim in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The Jewish cemetery is “Auf dem Domberg”, the oldest part probably on the middle wall of the complex. With an area of ​​6979 m², it is the second largest in the Bad Kreuznach district.

There are around 140 tombstones in the cemetery . The first burial probably took place before 1800. In 1856 the cemetery was expanded. The last burial took place in 1941.

Until 1983 the cemetery was devastated several times, in 1997 it was desecrated.
