The Viinijärvi is a lake in the municipality of Polvijärvi in the countryside of North Karelia in eastern Finland .
The lake has an area of 134.91 km² and lies at an altitude of 78.8 m. Viinijärvi is located on the south bank . The Taipaleenjoki drains the lake to Heposelkä to the south , a northern branch of the Orivesi . The largest islands in the lake are Lapinsaari (106 ha), Karjalansaari (69 ha) and Kurvalansaari (66 ha).
