The Orivesi is a lake in southeastern Finland . With an area of 601.3 km², it is the seventh largest in the country. Orivesi is an important river basin of the Saimaa lake system. The lake has several islands. The Paasselkä forms its south-western part. The Pyhäselkä located in the northeast. The Orivesi is connected to the Haukivesi by a sound near Savonranta .
