Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016/17
The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2016/17 was the 15th edition of the National List-A cricket - competition in India . The competition was held between February 25th and March 20th 2017 between 27 Indian first-class teams. In the final, Tamil Nadu was able to prevail against Bengal with 37 runs .
format
The 28 first-class teams were divided into four groups, with three groups having seven and one group having six teams. In these groups, each team played each other once and received four points for every win and two points for every draw or no result . The first two of each group qualified for the quarter-finals, where the winner of the Vijay Hazare Trophy was then played in neutral stadiums in the knockout system.
