Viksbergets fornborg

Viksbergets fornborg is located between Lake Aspen and the Äs manor in Julita parish in Katrineholm in Södermanland , Sweden . The prehistoric hill fort is on the Viskeberget where two routes meet from the Iron Age, just east of the old bridge. The approximately 75.0 × 50.0 m measuring castle is not dated, but the castles examined in Södermanland usually date from the late Iron Age (400–600 AD). The castle is surrounded by a 2.0 to 7.0 m wide and 0.5 to 1.5 m high stone wall.

Until the road was built, the castle was in the English garden of Äs manor. There is also a wall in the center that was used by an aerial surveillance barrack during World War II.
