Viktor Schneider (politician)

Viktor Schneider (born October 18, 1910 in Petronell , † October 1, 2005 in Petronell-Carnuntum ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and farmer. From 1964 to 1975 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

After the elementary and community school, Schneider took over his parents' farm in 1934. He served in World War II from 1940 and did not return from Soviet captivity until 1948.

politics

In the political field, Schneider was active as a local councilor from 1950, and between 1953 and 1983 he was mayor of Petronell-Carnuntum. From 1961 to 1965 he was also the deputy chairman of the Lower Austrian Labor Farmers Association and from 1967 also acted as the managing director of the federal organization of the Labor Farmers Association. Schneider also represented the SPÖ from December 3, 1964 to December 31, 1975 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
