Viktoria Lakissova

Viktoria Lakissova ( Russian Виктория Лакисова Wiktorija Lakissowa ; born November 27, 1975 in Leningrad ) is a Russian pianist .

Life

Viktoria Lakissova studied in St. Petersburg and Hamburg with Ekaterina Murina and Volker Banfield . In 2002 she received the Ritter Prize of the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation in Hamburg for outstanding artistic achievements.

Lakissova emerged mainly through interpretations of works from the 18th century. In 2000 she received the Mozart Prize at the international piano competition in Sydney. She gives concerts in Europe as a chamber musician and soloist. In 2004 her debut CD was released by Sony. Also in 2004 appeared in the series “Music of Tribute”, New York, their recording “Hommage à Scarlatti” with works by Domenico Scarlatti and more recent composers influenced by him, including Walter Steffens , Kurtág , Alkan and others.

Lakissova works regularly with the cellist Valeri Krivoborodov , a member of the Shostakovich String Quartet Hamburg.

From 2001 to 2008 she taught piano at the Hanover University of Music and Drama . Viktoria Lakissova has been Professor of Piano at the Berlin University of the Arts since December 2010 .
