Vildan is a Turkish , predominantly female first name .

Origin and meaning

The first name Vildan is of Arabic origin and derived from wildān , the plural of arab. walad meaning "child". The TDK dictionary of names gives the meaning of “newly born children”, also “servants or slaves”. In the Koran the name is mentioned in two places, in suras 56:17 and 76:19; there there are eternally youthful servants in paradise (cf. İslâm Ansiklopedisi ). Vildan also occurs occasionally as a male first name.
