The Villa Ahlers , Parkallee 117 at the corner of Benquestrasse in Bremen - Schwachhausen , Bürgerpark district, near the Bürgerpark was built in 1904 according to plans by Eduard Gildemeister and Wilhelm Sunkel. The building was placed under monument protection in 1978 as a Bremen cultural monument.

history

Parkallee - a residential street - was expanded in 1890. There are many listed buildings in the street (No. 30, 32, 39, 48, 79/81, 107, 133).

The two-storey villa with a basement , the small three-storey, round turret and the mansard roof , partly as a crooked hip , was created in Art Nouveau for the client Ahlers (presumably shipowner). a. the framework on the gable.

The architects Gildemeister and Sunkel in Schwachhausen u. a. the Church of St. Remberti , Villa Lüdemann and Villa Frese .

In 1979 the modern, supplementary, three-storey residential building at Benquestraße 2 was built according to plans by Kurt Schmidt in order to be able to preserve the listed building.

Today (2014) the Schipfer-Hausa dance school , lawyers' offices and other service providers can be found in the villa .
