description

Exterior

It is a two-story palazzo based on the Italian model from the 18th century. The facade is symmetrically structured. In the center is the main entrance with a balcony above it, which rests on a circumferential overhang. All windows as well as the door arches on the ground floor and on the balconies are framed by profiles. The windows on the ground floor are protected by iron bars that protrude from the lower area. Pilasters can be found on the corners of the building, and a grooved ledge protrudes from the roof edge .

Interior

In one of the rooms of the palazzo there are wall paintings in the form of the trompe-l'oeil , which form a kind of backdrop , which the neighbor looking in looks at. The metal grilles in front of the windows are repeated in the painting, creating the impression of another palace facade in the background.

Surroundings

To the north of the main building is a wrought-iron gate with square pillars that leads into the large adjacent garden. Further gardens, stables and outbuildings complete the building ensemble .

Opposite Villa Buleben is the Chapel of Our Lady of Forsaken Souls , which served as the palace's house chapel.
