The Villa Deinhardt is a villa built in 1897 in the Erfurt district of Vieselbach , Brauhausstraße 2. It is a listed building .

history

In 1867 August Deinhardt founded a brewery in Vieselbach that expanded rapidly. In 1871 he bought the old community brewery in Hochstedt , took over the inventory and then had the Hochstedt house demolished. In 1897 August Deinhardt had a large, representative villa built in the neo-renaissance style with a splendid interior at the Vieselbach site . In 1904 new brick brewery buildings followed, which together with the villa surrounded a large farm yard. It was followed by a spacious park and a grove.

In 1945 the brewery was shut down. The brewery buildings were converted into a residential complex in the 1970s and 1980s. After the fall of the Wall, the Kommunale Wohnungsgesellschaft mbH (KoWo) Erfurt took over the site. The property changed hands several times and redevelopment plans were made, which were not implemented. In 2015 the property with all buildings was sold.

The August-Deinhardt-Weg in Vieselbach was named after the founder of the brewery.
