The Villa Longree is a former manufacturer's villa. It is on Hauptstrasse 316 in the Hopesthal district of Rösrath in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

history

The house was built in 1864 as a two-storey building in the classical style with a slated hipped roof . This includes an Italian-style garden . The property was originally set up for Karl Daniel Reusch. The villa got its name from Karl Heinrich Longree, who was director of the Lüderich mine from 1895 to 1935 . The marriage between the Catholic mine director and the Protestant factory owner's daughter Hermine Reusch in 1900 was something special for the conditions at the time. Representatives from industry and mining, the two most important economic sectors in the Sülztal, met at Villa Longree.
