Villa deer
The Villa Rehe , later called Haus Raphael , is a villa in Reichenbachweg 25 g in Königstein im Taunus . It is a listed building .
The Cologne pharmacist Dr. E. Rehe had a villa built in 1898/99 south of the Reichenbachweg on former fields and meadows ("Hel meadows"). The architect was Otto Bäppler . In 1910 and 1921 (kitchen wing), conversions and extensions were made (also by Bäppler).
The large building on the slope is made of quarry stone in the basement. Two storeys and a varied hipped roof landscape rise above it. The facade is structured by gabled risalits, a protruding semicircular tower and bay windows. The window and door frames made of red sandstone and the red wooden elements create a color contrast. The house is located above the Reichenbach on the settlement boundary of a villa area.
The client died in 1924. During the National Socialist era , the house was used as a mother's home for the National Socialist People's Welfare . In 1951 the house was transferred to Caritas . In 1962/63, the Haus Raphael retirement home was built as a modern brick building to the right of the villa . Since it moved to a new building in Forellenweg in 2010, the property has been vacant.
