The street stretches north and west of the historic city center of Quedlinburg and includes various buildings in Wallstrasse and the corner house on Freiherr-vom-Stein-Strasse. Originally, house numbers 74 to 98 were also included.

Plant and history

The street was built on the site of the former ramparts that belonged to the Quedlinburg city fortifications. From the end of the 19th to the first quarter of the 20th century, both villas and apartment buildings were built. The buildings have two to three storeys and front gardens . The street-side gables of the houses present themselves in forms of historicism as well as youth and homeland styles .

The street scene is characterized by an avenue of lime trees that took the place of a promenade that previously existed in the area of ​​the ramparts.
