history
The architect and entrepreneur Otto Scheid planned and built the building with the large garden in 1931/1932. Many plants from the original planting have been preserved, including a. a ginko tree. The property is now a listed building . It is used privately and is open to the public on certain days.
description
On the street side is the former factory entrance gate of the company W. + J. Scheid from 1875, an elaborate wrought iron work. From the garden side, the view falls on evenly structured windows. The window axes are arranged harmoniously. A large part of the upper floor is equipped with balconies. There are glass elements on the floor of the balconies that let light fall down into the ground floor. The entire ground floor is clad with clinker bricks. The porch of the entrance door is highlighted with a fine tooth-cut frieze made of wood below the flat roof.
In the garden there is a larger tea house, which is also clad in clinker brick in the expressionist style .
Venue
The park, the tea house and part of the villa are used as a location for private and business events. In addition to outdoor concerts, the program includes a. also cabaret, an English garden festival and art exhibitions.
