history
The building at Eichrodter Weg 1 was completed in 1895. In the 1920s, after several changes of ownership , the villa was converted into an apartment building, later in 1960 an originally existing tower was dismantled. The roof was damaged during World War II . The three apartments of the house were divided during the GDR , so that the building had six residential units. The authorities did not issue permits for major renovation work to the owner, resulting in damage to the building, including dry rot .
From 1990 to 2018 a gradual renovation took place in-house. The owner received a plaque from the Support Group for Preservation of Eisenachs eV for the renovation in accordance with historical monuments
