Villa del Rosario is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the area of the Lavalleja department in its sector 13, around 15 kilometers northwest of the department capital Minas in the Cuchilla Grande . The Cuchilla del Vejigas runs north of the village . The closest settlement in this direction is Gaetán . To the west of the village rises the Arroyo Vejigas , which flows from there to the west, as well as the de Garrido , which flows off to the south , which meets the Pajas Blancas , whose source is southeast of the village. Together these then form the tributary into the Arroyo Solís Grande about 6 kilometers south of Villa del Rosarios .

Residents
The population of Villa del Rosario is 149 (as of 2011), of which 85 are male and 64 are female. The Instituto Nacional de Estadística de Uruguay did not collect any data for the previous censuses in 1963, 1975, 1985 and 1996 .
