The Arroyo Solís Grande is a river located in southern Uruguay .

The left tributary of the Río de la Plata rises in the Sierra de Minas at an altitude of about 250 meters above sea level. Its source is located southwest of Barrio La Coronilla and Minas at Cerro del Puma and Cerro Blanco . From there it initially runs in a westerly direction and is fed by several small streams, such as the del Potrero , the de los Perros , the Atahona and the de Garrido . After about eight kilometers, it then changes its direction to the south. Here the tributary de los Membrillos meets him on the left. From about five kilometers north-northeast of the city of Montes , the Arroyo Solís Grande serves as the departmental border between Lavalleja and Canelones . On his way he passes both this city and a few kilometers further south Solís de Mataojo . Its larger right-hand tributaries are Arroyo del Sauce , Arroyo Sarandí , Arroyo del Sauce Solo , Arroyo Sauce de Solís , Arroyo Quebracho, and Arroyo Tío Diego . On the left, Arroyo de los Chanchos , Arroyo Malvín , Arroyo Curupí , Arroyo Navarro and Arroyo del Sarandí should be emphasized.

In its lower reaches it forms the border between the departments Canelones and Maldonado . At its confluence with the Río de la Plata between the seaside resort of Jaureguiberry , located in the department of Canelones, and Solís , part of the department of Maldonado, it forms a sandbar. The size of its catchment area , almost untouched by industrial activity, is around 1400 km².
