Neuwittelsbach villa colony

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The villa colony Neuwittelsbach is located in Munich's district Neuhausen-Nymphenburg .

This villa colony is regarded as an elegant, uniformly designed villa district from the late 19th and early 20th centuries with a park-like character. It was built south of the Nymphenburg Canal from 1880 around the Neuwittelsbach roundabout in Nymphenburg on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the Wittelsbach family . The Neuwittelsbach roundabout did not get its name until 1890 from the colony of the same name. The residential community extends between the Hubertus and Renatastraße and between the Nibelungen- and Prince road with the Aiblinger-, Lachner- and Flüggestraße and with parts of the Monten-, novels and Prince Street.
