Vincent Gabrielsen
Vincent Gabrielsen (born November 30, 1950 in Piraeus ) is a Danish ancient historian .
Life
After receiving his doctorate in 1991 ( The Athenian trierarchy ) at the University of Copenhagen , he has been professor of ancient history there since 2001 .
His research interests are classical Greek and Hellenistic history. Specializing in maritime history, shipbuilding and public finance, warfare and piracy, Hellenistic Rhodes and its possessions in Asia Minor, trade in Hellenistic times, banking and credit, private associations of antiquity.
