Vineet Nayar (* 1962 in Pantnagar ) is an Indian manager and book author.

As a member of the management of HCL Technologies Ltd. Nayar developed his own management philosophy, which is focused on the well-being of employees, entitled " Employees First, Customers Second ", for which he has received worldwide attention and recognition.

The book of the same name was named one of the best business books of the year by the Library Journal of America in 2010. In May 2013 it should appear in German translation as " First the employee, then the customer ".

In 2011, on the sidelines of the Cebit computer fair , Nayar received the " Leader in the Digital Age Award " management award from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics .

Nayar blogs regularly in English on his personal blog " Vineet Nayar's Scrapbook " and under " Inverted Wisdom " on the Harvard Business Review blog network .
