Viridovix was chief of the Gallic people of the Veneller during the Roman conquest of Gaul by Gaius Iulius Caesar in the Gallic War .

In 56 BC In BC he commanded the Veneller army in battle against the legate Quintus Titurius Sabinus . Together with their allies, the Aulerkern (sub-tribe of the Eburoviken) and Lexovians , the Veneller were defeated by Sabinus.

The name Viridovix probably meant in Celtic "powerful ( virido ) fighter ( vix, vicos )".
