Claudio Magistrelli of Italian online magazine The Games Machine gave the game an 8.3 out of 10 and said, “VirtuaVerse is a lot of things. It pays homage to old school point and click adventures while also offering a modern take on the genre. It's also a declaration of love for cyberpunk and its subjects. But more than anything, VirtuaVerse is a great adventure that takes place in a detailed world based on great pixel graphics, fantastic music and a suggestive atmosphere. "
Jörg Luibl from the German online magazine 4Players gave the game a rating of 76% and said: "Despite its old-fashioned statics and some illogical moments, VirtuaVerse is an entertaining point & click adventure with a great cyberpunk flair and a good story."
