Viscount Cowdray
Viscount Cowdray , of Cowdray in the County of West Sussex , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The Viscount family home is Cowdray House near Midhurst in Sussex.
Award and subordinate titles
The title was created on January 2, 1917 for the industrialist and politician Weetman Pearson, 1st Baron Cowdray . He was the managing owner of the media group Pearson and was on June 26, 1894 to the Baronet , of Paddockhurst, in the Parish of Worth, in the County of Sussex, and of Airlie Gardens, in the Parish of St. Mary Abbots, Kensington, in the County of London , as well as Baron Cowdray , of Midhurst in the County of Sussex on July 16, 1910 .
Today's title holder has been his great-grandson Michael Pearson as the 4th Viscount since 1995 .
