Viscount Weir

Viscount Weir , of Eastwood in the County of Renfrew , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The family seat of the Viscounts was Montgreenan near Kilwinning in North Ayrshire .

Award and subordinate titles

The title was created on June 25, 1938 for the Scottish entrepreneur and politician William Weir, 1st Baron Weir . As early as June 26, 1918, the subordinate title Baron Weir , of Eastwood in the County of Renfrew, had been awarded to him.
