Viscount Wimborne
Viscount Wimborne , of Canford Magna in the County of Dorset , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was created on July 5, 1918 for Ivor Guest, 2nd Baron Wimborne, 1st Baron Ashby St. Ledgers when he retired from the office of Lord Lieutenant of Ireland . Today's title holder is his great-grandson as the 4th Viscount.
Subordinate title
On March 18, 1910 he had already been awarded the title of Baron Ashby St. Ledgers , of Ashby St. Ledgers in the County of Northampton . When his father died, he had his created on April 27, 1880 Title Baron Wimborne , of Canford Magna in the County of Dorset inherited, along with the subsidiary, on August 14, 1838 for his father Josiah John Guest created (1785-1852) Baronetwürde , of Dowlais in the County of Glamorgan . All named titles belong to the Peerage or Baronetage of the United Kingdom and are listed as subordinate titles of the Viscount.
