Traditional counties of Wales
Wales is traditionally divided into 13 counties (English counties , Welsh siroedd ):
- Monmouthshire ( Sir Fynwy )
- Glamorgan ( Sir Forgannwg )
- Carmarthenshire ( Sir Gaerfyrddin )
- Pembrokeshire ( Sir Benfro )
- Cardiganshire ( Sir Aberteifi or Ceredigion )
- Brecknockshire ( Sir Frycheiniog )
- Radnorshire ( Sir Faesyfed )
- Montgomeryshire ( Sir Faldwyn )
- Denbighshire ( Sir Ddinbych )
- Flintshire ( Sir y Fflint )
- Merionethshire ( Sir Feirionnydd )
