The former was this on April 10, 1750 in the Peerage of Ireland, the latter was awarded on September 28, 1698 in the Baronetage of Ireland his father Sir Thomas Vesey, 1st Baronet .

The 4th Viscount was also raised to Baron de Vesci , of Abbey Leix in the Queen's County, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom on November 8, 1884 . In contrast to the Irish titles, this title was associated with a seat in the British House of Lords , but expired in 1903 when the 4th Viscount died without leaving any sons. The Viscountcy and the other titles fell to his nephew as the 5th Viscount. Today's title holder is his grandson Thomas Vesey as the 7th Viscount.
