Viseon was a German bus manufacturer based in Pilsting . It was created in 2008 as Viseon Bus GmbH to continue part of the production of the bus manufacturer Neoplan after it had been bought by MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG . On April 26, 2013, Viseon filed for bankruptcy.

history

After MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG announced in spring 2008 that it would give up the Neoplan plant in Pilsting, the former Neoplan managing director Joachim Reinmuth negotiated with MAN in order to be able to continue production under the roof of a new company. To this end, he founded Viseon Bus GmbH on July 1, 2008. The contracts with MAN were signed in February 2009. On April 1, 2009, the new company began production, for which parts of the property and the main production hall with an area of 20,000 square meters were taken over by Neoplan. The company continued the production of buses and trolleybuses at the site. In 2013 bus production in Pilsting was discontinued and the company buildings were sold to a logistics company.

Shareholder

Joachim Reinmuth was a managing partner of Viseon Bus GmbH. He held the majority of the capital (61 percent) and was responsible for sales, production and the commercial area. Another partner was Ernö Bartha, the former head of bus technology at MAN. Since April 1, 2009, he has been the managing director responsible for technology, purchasing and quality (39 percent). With a minority stake of around ten percent, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG was involved until May 2010.
