The Vision is an international trade fair for image processing by Messe Stuttgart . With almost 10,000 trade visitors and over 400 exhibitors on an area of approx. 21,000 m², it is the world's largest trade fair of its kind and therefore the world's leading trade fair. Originally annually, it has been held every two years since 2014. The organizer is Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH.
For the first time, Vision 2014 included the main topics Traffic Vision and Vision 4 Automation . The Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering (VDMA) also organized the Industrial Vision Days lecture forum . Over 8600 visitors visited the fair.
At Vision 2016, the trending topics were embedded vision , hyperspectral imaging and 3D image processing . Almost 10,000 people visited the fair. 57% of the exhibitors came from abroad.
The trending topics at Vision 2018 were deep learning and hyperspectral imaging . Over 11,000 people visited the fair. 47% of the visitors came from abroad.
The trade fair originally planned for November 2020 was canceled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic .
The main exhibitors are manufacturers of cameras, optics and software for image processing, as well as research institutes.
