history
The Visitantes came to Krakow in 1681 and founded their monastery north of the old town at the gates of the then independent city of Kleparz (also known as Florenzja ). Construction of the church began in 1692 and the church was completed in 1695. The architect was the Italian Giovanni Solari . Tomasz Pryliński renovated the church between 1875 and 1876. Cardinal and primate August Hlond and pastor Mieczysław Maliński were associated with the church . The heart of the Wielkopolska Voivode and patron of the Stanisław Małachowski Order is buried in the church.
